After recording "Kristallpalast" and reaching a pretty close version of what I had originally had in mind, I played around with this song a lot. I remixed it, changed the tempo, stripped lots of tracks, added synths and electronic drums and produced several versions of the song. 
This is my favourite version, slowed & stripped down, concentrating only on the piano and the female vocals, with just a little synth thrown in for good measure and the haunting "Wir sind hier so glücklich” (We’re so happy here) remaining from the original lyrics.
It immediately felt like the perfect ending for this CD, the two versions bookending this collection of songs.
